The Morning After

Sunday morning came and Debbie and I went for a walk on the beach. While the sky was clear the surf was still strong. Beach erosion from repeated storms was evident everywhere. I wouldn't want to own a house along the shore line. I guess mother nature is doing her thing which is only the natural order of things.

Debbie and I rode our bikes around Rosemary Beach, up and down the quiet streets. The economic breakdown was evident with the removal of the Starbucks sign from the corner Starbucks. (Not that I care since I'm not of fan of the burnt flavor of their coffee.) There were plenty of homes listed for sale, but the prices still out of our reach. I would love to have a summer home where I could bring all of my critters and spend my summer months reading on the beach drinking margaritas.

Saturday Morning at the Beach

Early in the morning at Rosemary Beach

Here I am by the Gulf of Mexico

I don't think we will be getting a tan this trip!

Debbie and I went for a walk this morning and almost got blown off the shoreline. We walked around Rosemary Beach in the quiet of the morning getting wet from the morning mist coming off the gulf.

Rainy Weekend at the Beach

It's been a rainy weekend in the beautiful beach community of Inlet Beach. Located next door to Rosemary Beach, this area of the Florida Pan Handle is probably the nicest area in all of Florida. It's one of those hidden jewels that few people know about and those that do keep coming back. Cathy was nice enough to invite us to come and enjoy her beach home and spend time together doing it is what girls will do when given a credit card and a bottle of red wine. With hopes of playing tennis, riding my bike with Debbie and just relaxing I had to setting for a full day of shopping. Oh poor pitiful me! We had dinner in an Oyster house that was great and then returned to watch a movie on the DVD, drink red wine and just relax with good friends!

Knoxville TN, here we come

Woody and I decided to take a trip to visit Nina and the crew before the tennis season starts. We left around 9:00 and arrived around 12:00, just in time for coffee and Girl Scout cookies. We took a tour of Tia's college campus and dorm. UT is not as nice as LSU but then what university is?

Christian was excited to try out for soccer. It's a great sport to keep him busy. We all went out to eat and then ended our trip by 7:30.

Snow comes to Stone Mountain Ga.

It's snowing down in Georgia the first week of March. One week it's in the high 70's and the next it's back to freezing temperatures. It is nice to have a change is seasons from time to time. Next up will be spring and all of the flowers in the yard. Here is some fun in the snow. Penny just loves the cold weather.

Woody and I decided we were bored and headed out to Costco and Fryes. What was a rainy morning turned into a miniature snow storm.

Here are some fun videos taken on Sunday March the first.
